Governor Appoints Byron Beebe to the Superior Court of Stanislaus County
The Superior Court of California, County of Stanislaus, is pleased to announce the appointment of Byron Beebe to serve as a Judge of the Superior Court of Stanislaus County.
Governor Gavin Newsom announced the appointment on November 4, 2026. Beebe fills the vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Sonny S. Sandhu to the Court of Appeal.
Mr. Beebe has served as a Lead Appellate Court Attorney at the Fifth District Court of Appeal since 2016. He previously worked as an Associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges from 2008 to 2016. Earlier in his career, he served as a law clerk at several courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, and the Third Judicial District Court of Nevada. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.

The Court will announce additional details regarding Judge Beebe’s start date, judicial assignment, and investiture ceremony once those arrangements have been finalized.
