We strongly recommend that you create an account to begin completing the paperwork so you do not lose the work that you have started.
Once you have completed your forms, you can save them and e-mail them to our office to review before you file them. You will be able to make any corrections to them, print them out and bring them to the courthouse for filing or you can e-file many of them from the comfort of your own home. For more information, please see the section below on E-Filing.
• Request for Order (To request orders or change orders for child custody and visitation and/or child support.)
In order to begin the process, you will need to first select an authorized e-filing provider. You can find a complete list here.
Once you select a provider, you will create an account and follow their instructions on how to upload your documents. You will upload your documents through the provider’s site and complete the requested information. The provider will then submit your documents to the Court for filing.
Please note the provider may charge a fee for their service and you will be responsible for any Court filing fees or other fees associated with your filing. If you file your documents with a Fee Waiver, or have a previously granted Fee Waiver in your case, then you will not be charged a fee to file your documents.
If there are any issues with your filing or it is rejected for any reason, the provider will notify you. Once your documents are filed, the provider will notify you and provide you with copies of your filed documents.
General user information:
- If a case type or filing code is not visible, please reach out to your eFiling Service Provider (EFSP) to confirm that the vendor has the most current data.
- Please add party names in ALL CAPS.
- Please do not add any document descriptions.
- Please do not add "dba" to party names. The clerk will add the dba to the case management system.
- If cases are consolidated, you must E-file into the lead (primary) case number.
- When submitting a first paper for multiple parties, the document will need to be submitted in separate envelopes for each party. Currently, filing fees can only be assessed to one party per envelope.
Each file ready document needs to be submitted as a separate lead document. Please do not add any documents as attachments. The following documents CANNOT be accepted via E-Filing at this time:
- Abstract of Judgment or Abstracts
- Administrative Records or other lodged documents
- Appeals documents/filings
- Bench Warrant
- Certificate of Facts
- Copy or search requests including estate searches.
- Civil Pre-Trial Trial briefs
- Coordinated proceedings or filings on coordinated cases
- Coversheet / Declaration Re Covid-19 Related Financial Distress
- Original Wills
- Ex Parte Communication
- Exemplification (Certificate of Authenticity)
- Notice of Jury Fees cannot be filed pursuant to California Rules of Court 3.250.
- Jury fees are located in Optional Services and are only accepted if they are submitted in conjunction with a document filing.
